Aqueducts are impressive structures of housing pipelines. It’s from the word “aqua” meaning water and “ducere” which means to lead. The Romans made them out of large blocks, and this one still stands relatively straight after 2000 years. One of the best conserved Roman aqueducts in the world is located in Segovia, Spain. Just half an hour’s drive from Madrid, the Aqueduct is Segovia’s best known historical monument.

The rapids suuply local surfing buffs with ample waves maintaining their surfing skills sharp throughout the winter. The National Bank Building, Dubai

Built in the 1990, it is one of several new buildings that signal a desire to shape the image of the city as one of a modern commercial center. The National Bank of Dubai building sets the high modern, progressive standards of architecture of the new generation. Located along the busy waterfront, the Tower is supported at the sides by two massive granite columns. The facade is inspired by the sails of the local and reflects both the sky and the water in its curved mirror.
