Telluride is a slice of paradise in the beautiful San Juan Mountains of southwest Colorado. Telluride and Mountain Village are great places for the whole family.

The main street is delightful for shopping, munching, and people-watching; you can sign up for a walking tour, or guide yourself with a map available from the visitor’s center.

It is best known for its world-class ski resort, which boasts 1,700 acres of terrain and three air gardens and terrain parks.

The resort has feature a new luxury hotels and residential property in the spectacularly beautiful setting of the Town of Mountain Village, above historic Telluride.

There are dozens of festivals held here annually, including the extremely popular Telluride Bluegrass Festival, Blues and Brews and more.

Heavenly Ski Resort is located on the border of California and Nevada and Lake Tahoe. It’s vast; with 17 lifts in California and 12 lifts in Nevada, and has 4800 ski-able acres draped across the mountain.

Heavenly has a great mixture of slopes; it won’t leave anyone bored. Off-mountain activities include ice-skating, matinees, shopping, nearby hot springs, and more.
There are plenty of steep runs, powdery canyons, and fresh tracks in the woods. The best runs at Heavenly Mountain often require a little traversing too, which can be irritating for snowboarders.  Beginners also have an exclusive secluded area near California Base Lodge.

The great snow here turns extremely deep, 30 feet per year, and that is sufficient for extremely great coverage. Skiing in Heavenly really does offer something for everyone. The Gondola, opened in 2000, neatly connects the new Village at Heavenly to the mountain.

The town in the North West of the Alps, Chamonix, Mont-Blank is famous as a skiing resort. Mont Blanc became famous in 1924 with the organisation of the First Winter Olympics Games. The Chamonix Mont Blanc ski region covers 4 major ski resorts; Brevent/Flegere, Grands Montets, Domaine du Balme and Les Houches.

In twenty minutes, two cable-cars will take you from the valley floor in Chamonix up to the arrival station perched on a rocky spur at an altitude of 3842 m, in the heart of some of the highest peaks in Europe.

The town is famous for its skiing and other winter sports in addition to being a year round destination for outdoor activities.The resort and town blossomed throughout the 80’s as skiing’s popularity grew, and today Vail is the top ranked ski resort in the United States.


Vail Mountain is at an elevation of 11,570′ and has over 5,000 skiable acres, numerous ski lifts, and almost 200 marked ski trails. It is 100 miles west of Denver, is larger than nearly every other North American ski area, and is linked by a well placed network of lifts and trails.

Stowe Ski Area is one of the most beautiful of all New England resorts. It is situated on Mount Mansfield, which at 4,393 feet is the state’s highest mountain. Thousands of hikers climb Mount Mansfield every year.

Located in the Laurentian Mountains, Mont Tremblant ski area is 75 miles (120 km) northwest of Montreal. Mont Tremblant as the most diverse runs and offers all the amenities, right on the hill. Mont Tremblant activities and recreation such as golfing, skiing, biking and skating. Tremblant offers guests 600 acres to ski and ride on with 121 acres of glades. Thirteen lifts service 94 runs.
The resort is modern yet charming, the locals speak French as well as English. A cute cobblestone village at the foot of the mountain makes strolling and supping as much fun as the schussing.

After dark Tremblant has a lively après-ski scene, with attractive shops and excellent restaurants. Restaurant fare ranges from French  to Italian, Japanese, and pizza.
