A local farmer has no other alternative than to sell for a price offered by the multinational company. When working conditions and ecology is in question, these companies (Dole Food, Chiquita,…) have nothing to do with it the plantations are not theirs, they are only buyers.

This Central American country lies between Nicaragua to the north and Panama to the south. Costa Rica is an exotic vacation destination that has secluded white sand beaches. On the tour, you get to visit the lush rain forests and pristine beaches. While on a trip to Costa Rica, you can either go in for a rain forest canopy tour, whitewater rafting or can just relax at the beach. The Tortuguero National Park is 51,870 acres and one of the last large areas of tropical rain forest in Central America. Monkeys, storks, and river otters can often be seen along the water in addition to more than 300 species of birds.
