The Lima Cathedral is a Roman Catholic temple and is located in the Main Plaza of downtown Lima, Peru. It started its construction in 1535. It has been transformed many times, but it still conserves its colonial composition and facade. Lima’s cathedral is big, though not necessarily spectacular. Still, it is worth a visit due to its historical significance. It does have some interesting side chapels where we could watch the nuns maintaining the displays.

Cologne, Germany, with its one million inhabitants, is the largest city in northern Rhineland. It is situated in the German state of North-Rhine Westphalia, in a wonderful landscape of castles, villages and hills, covered with forest and vineyards. The city stands on the banks of the river Rhine and some of the best views of the city can be had directly from the river.

The Antwerp Cathedral of Our Lady is a masterpiece of lace work in stone. Begun in 1352, it is one of the finest Gothic buildings in Europe. The church, which became a cathedral in 1559 replaced a Romanesque church built in the 12th century. The last vestiges of that church were demolished in 1481. It contains a number of significant works by painter, Rubens. Its spire is 123 m high. This portal features statues which include the missionary Saint Willibrordus. He is thought to have spent time in Antwerp in the 7th century.

Seville is one of the largest historical centres in Europe.
Seville is the artistic, cultural, and financial capital of southern Spain. It has the cathedral which is one of the largest in Christendom. Part of treasure in Seville include Casa de Pilatos, Torre del Oro, the Town Hall, Archive of the Indies, the Fine Arts Museum - the second largest picture gallery in Spain. Seville is the Capital of Andalusia, region famous for its bullfighters, Flamenco dancers and singers.
This town inspired Mozart, Rossini and Bizet — operas like: “El Barbero de Sevilla”, Carmen.

Fort de France is the capital of Martinique and the largest city in the French Antilles, and it has a population of 94,049 inhabitants. It is also one of the major cities in the Caribbean. The city centre is resplendent with
architecture dating back to the start of the 19th Century and monuments that speak of the island’s history. The full range of
shops,
restaurants and services are available in a distinctly Caribbean style. Larger shopping and
cinema complexes and meeting centers are located on the periphery of the city.
