Saint-Sernin Basilica, Toulouse

This is the largest remaining Romanesque church in the world. Saint-Sernin basilica located in Toulouse, France was built during the Romanesque Period between 1080 and 1120.
The Basilica of Saint Sernin is notable for its imposing architecture and important medieval sculptures and frescoes. It is worth visiting for the exterior brickwork, the two crypts, the tympanum over the main door depicting Christ’s ascension, and the 800 sculpted column heads.

Harbor Town of Paraty

A stunning seventeenth-century colonial harbor town on Brazil’s Costa Verde, Paraty is a perfectly preserved UNESCO World Heritage site. Paraty meaning ”river of fish” in the Tupi language, was founded in 1667. When you wake up in Corumbau and decide it would be nice to walk the length of the private beach, you better make sure you take some water with you because this is no ordinary resort beach. It stretches for more than a mile along the Bahia coastline with another 5 miles of uninhabited beaches on either side. Monastery St. Joachim of Osogovo near Kriva Palanka

The monastery of St. Joachim Osogovski, set amongst verdant green woods near the northeastern town of Kriva Palanka. The nowadays monastery has two churches – the old one, Holy Mother of God, and the new one, St. Joachim Ossogovski. In the summer it has been used for an architecture summer school – at any time travelers can stay here and enjoy the peace and the beauty.
