The first contemporary art museum in Turkey


Located in the dynamic business district of Istanbul, Maslak, Proje4L was founded under the name of Istanbul Museum of Contemporary Art. This is a non-profit organisation established by Elgiz Family with a mission to support the development of contemporary art and artists in Turkey. Opened in 2005, Elgiz Museum of Contemporary Art is a private collection museum host the Sevda and Can Elgiz Collection consists of works of by influential Turkish and international artists.

Ottoman Heritage

A district of Karabük Province, Turkey, Safranbolu is a typical Anatolian ancient city that has survived to the present day. It was described by Homer in his epic poem, The Iliad and its known history dates back to 3000 BC. From the 13th century to the advent of the railway in the early 20th century, Safranbolu was an important caravan station on the main East–West trade route. The caravan trade was for centuries the main commercial link between the Orient and Europe. Safranbolu brings history to life through its well-preserved Ottoman era architecture. It was inscribed to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1994.

Owned by a couple that spent a long time abroad envying the street art, came back and opened this white painted, small but intense gallery. Istanbul Modern


Finally, 5 years ago Eczacibasi Holding opened Istanbul Modern, the first private museum to organize modern and contemporary art exhibitions in Turkey. Istanbul Modern is located in Karakoy, by the Bosphorus sea in a great venue and the museum hosts art in 8000 sqm. There are permanent and temporary exhibition galleries, a photography gallery, a library, a cinema center, a great cafe with amazing view and a design shop.
