Sydney’s terminal is a dynamic building with a remarkable clarity of organization given the complexities of program, staging and site constraints. The scale of the main entrance space and this clarity ensure that the building, while large (170 metres long, 45 metres wide and three storeys high) is not intimidating and that navigation through the space is always clear. The whole building incorporates arrivals, check-ins, valet parking, staff areas, Golden Wing Club, a link concourse, departure lounges and baggage sorting areas. Arrivals are accommodated on the ground level and check-in is located on the upper level.

However, there is one place we enjoyed in Sydney that is now free and it’s the impressive Australian National Maritime Museum. The museum takes up a sizeable chunk of Darling Harbour and it is easy to spend half a day having a look at its permanent and temporary exhibits.Inside the museum are seven main exhibitions that span Australia’s links to the seas and its crucial part in our history. double-decker lifts to reach the 304-metre summit, where you can take advantage of free guided tours. Or, for a real treat, dine out on the view, in the a la carte or buffet-style revolving restaurants. The Sydney AMP Tower, often referred to as the
Sydney Centre point, is located in Sydney’s

The Sydney Opera House is one of the most recognizable buildings in the world. In addition to representing Sydney, the opera house has also become
a symbol for the country of Australia throughout the world. Resting majestically on Bennelong Point as it reaches into Sydney Harbour, the Sydney Opera House is truly an unforgettable sight. The original plan to build the opera house was put forth in 1950, and designed by John Utzon. Interestingly enough, his vision was more advanced than architectural and engineering abilities of the decade, and it wasn’t until 1973 that his ideas were finally put into place.

Uluru (formerly known as Ayers Rock) is a large rock formation in central Australia, in the Northern Territory. There is something totally awe-inspiring about Uluru. There it sits in the centre of Australia, located in Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park close to the small town of Yulara (aka Ayers Rock Resort). A huge monolith, 862.5 metres above sea level, 1395 km south of Darwin and 465 km south west of Alice Springs, rising out of the desert. Uluru, which means ‘great pebble’ in the Aboriginal language. Uluru is a 3.6km-long rising 348 metres above the surrounding countryside. It has an area of 3.33 sq. km and a
circumference of 9.4 km. It experiences an average of 200-250 mm of rainfall per annum and a typical desert temperature range which can fall to -8°C at night-time in winter and rise to 47°C during the day in summer. Uluru is notable for its quality of changing colour as the different light strikes it at different times of the day and year, with sunset a particularly remarkable sight. It is made of sandstone infused with minerals like feldspar (Arkosic sandstone) that cause it to give off a red glow at sunrise and sunset.
