Less than 6 km south of the party island of Ibiza, Formentera is its complete antithesis – an island with very little coastal development, and not a club in sight. Its relative inaccessibility and lack of water has protected from the ravages of tourism and it is one of the least spoilt spots in the Mediterranean with only one proper tourist resort, Es Pujols. Rimini is a city of art and the capital of the province, and a visit is worthwhile to its
monuments, which are the living expression of its past glory as a Roman outpost and stronghold, to later become the capital of the Malatesta Seigniory, who left a legacy of some of the most significant monuments in the history of art, such as the Malatesta Temple, an emblem of the Renaissance. Birthplace of Federico Fellini, Rimini is Europe’s largest seaside resort. With it comes the good and the bad, the tasteful and the down right brash. It has a large commercial club culture – amounting to around 150 clubs at the last count, but thankfully it also has a fine old town. The water is perfect with a soft and velvety shore that slopes gently into the shallows. The sun is hot, but not too hot for comfort. Warmth is everywhere, the warmth of people of all ages and from all countries, come to meet other people at Rimini.

Ibiza gives good sunset and nowhere on the island gives it better than Café Mambo. Located on the same strip as its famous older sister Café Del Mar, in old town San Antonio, it’s the most idyllic place to witness the ritual going-down-of-the-orb.
Home to the Pacha pre-parties, Café Mambo has become a popular sunset location for many clubbers, who congregate en-masse to watch some of the top djs in the world play for free. Serving up food throughout the day, whilst supplying decent music and a lovely view, Café Mambo is worthy of its reputation as a leading pre-party venue.
