Lilla Torg is one of the most charming square in Malmo and was built in 1592 as a market area. The square is dotted with interesting buildings dating from the 16th century and later around Lilla Torg. Hedmanska Garden is a nearby courtyard where the oldest half-timbered house dates from the 16th century and the youngest building, a warehouse, is from the late 19th century and is now home to Design Centre, which mounts exhibitions related to design and architecture. Outdoor concerts are held at Hedmanska Garden in July. From March to October Lilla Torg is filled with outdoor restaurants and cafes and the atmosphere is enchanting.

Less than 6 km south of the party island of Ibiza, Formentera is its complete antithesis – an island with very little coastal development, and not a club in sight. Its relative inaccessibility and lack of water has protected from the ravages of tourism and it is one of the least spoilt spots in the Mediterranean with only one proper tourist resort, Es Pujols.
