The Fram Museum has a triangle shape like building and the polar bear greeting you at the entrance. It is the perfect place to learn about expeditions to the North or South Pole and Greenland as they were explored by Norwegians who now are local heroes. At the centre of the museum there is world’s most famous polar ship, the Fram, from 1892 which has been preserved with its original contents and everyone is welcome on board to walk all over and see how life was on it. All over the walls you see maps, pieces of history, books, clothes, medical and other use objects, food, and tools.

North Atlantic House is a cultural centre on the Christianshavn waterfront in Copenhagen. In this historical warehouse dating from 1767, you can appreciate North Atlantic art and culture in the changing special exhibitions and attend concerts and talks by fascinating artists and cultural personalities form Iceland, Greenland and the Faeroe Islands. The area surrounding North Atlantic House is undergoing rapid development and invites exploration of this charming setting along the canals with views of Nyhavn, the Opera House and the new theatre.

NOMA is a wonderful restaurant, not about only an olive oil, foie gras, sun-dried tomatoes and black olives. On contrary, the restaurant have been busy exploring the Nordic regions discovering outstanding foods and bringing them back to Denmark: Icelandic skyr curd, halibut, Greenland musk ox, berries and water. The staff pay careful attention to the qualities of their culinary heritage, and also aim to create something brand new.

There are so many incredible photos… it is very difficult to choose…. This is Ilulissat Icefjord which is located 250 km north of the Arctic Circle and is the biggest natural attraction in Greenland. Owing to gigantic icebergs, the glacier flows at a rate of 20-35 m per day, resulting in around 20 billion tones of icebergs. In 2004 was admitted onto UNESCO’s World Heritage List. It has been the object of scientific attention for 250 years and is today at the centre of the huge international focus on global warming thanks to extensive media coverage.

Baffin Island is the eastern Canadian Arctic, lying between Greenland and the Canadian mainland. Covering 507, 451 sq km, it is the largest island in North America and the fifth largest in the world.
