Tour de Cote D’Azur

Côte d’Azur is also popular in English as the French Riviera – it is the Mediterranean coastline of the southeastern corner of France, extending from Menton near the Italian border on the east to either Hyères or Cassis in the west. The Côte d’Azur was once one of the first resort areas in the world. It began as a health resort for ailing British tourists at the end of the 18th century, after that in the mid-19th century, when the railroad arrived, it became the playground and vacation spot of British, Russian, and other aristocrats, such as Queen Victoria and King Edward VII, when he was Prince of Wales.

As if you needed a Reason to go to France

Every year in February the Lemon Festival takes place in Menton, a city of just over 28,000 residents on the French Riviera. Menton is the lemon capital of France and the Festival is a celebration of all things related to that small yellow fruit. During the festival large constructions made of lemons and oranges parade down the streets and huge citrus fruit sculptures are built. Get your fix of vitamin C as you admire huge constructions made of fruit, which in 2008 are themed around “the islands of the world“.

Corsica – not to miss

Cote D`AzurThe Cote D`Azur, south of France, French Riviera – call it (or say it) whatever you want to but all these names provoke the stunning beauty and splendour of that magnificient piece of land that starts in the easternmost corner of France with Menton, the grand lady of the Belle Epoch are, running through Monte Carlo, Nice, Cannes, Grasse, all the way to St. Tropez.
We explored this region of balmy weather, stony beaches, sheer cliffs, grand hotels, cosy cafes,stuning views and beautiful people.
