Built in the 1990, it is one of several new buildings that signal a desire to shape the image of the city as one of a modern commercial center. The National Bank of Dubai building sets the high modern, progressive standards of architecture of the new generation. Located along the busy waterfront, the Tower is supported at the sides by two massive granite columns. The facade is inspired by the sails of the local and reflects both the sky and the water in its curved mirror.

The Burj Al Arab is just 65 m shorter than the
Empire State Building in New York. It is home to the world’s highest tennis court. It’s set at 211 m high on hotel’s helipad, which can also become a heliport for emergency landings or guest traffic and covers a surface area of 415 sq. m. There is wire mesh around to prevent them from falling.
