At the time of its completion, the 88-story, 420.5 meters -high Jin Mao Tower was China’s tallest building and the fifth tallest in the world. Until 2007 when its height was surpassed by the Shanghai World Financial Center, situated next to the building. Literally “Golden Prosperity Building”, this landmark skyscraper is located in mainland China, in Pudong district of Shanghai.

Completed in 2001, the rooftop garden is located on top of a city hall, Chicago. This urban project was designed by “green” architect William McDonough. Its aim was to test different types of green roof systems such as heating and cooling benefits, rainwater runoff and the effectiveness of differing types of green roofs for Chicago’s climate.

The Robie House on the University of Chicago campus is recognized as one of the most significant buildings in the history of American architecture. It was designed and build by Frank Lloyd Wright for his client Frederick C. Robie, a resourseful businessman. Created in Wright’s Oak Park studio in 1908 and completed in 1910, the house is both a paragon of the Prairie style and acknowledged as a predecessor of the modern movement of architecture.

The Skydeck is located on the 103 rd floor of the Willis (formerly Sears) Tower and it is the highest observatory in Chicago (488m). On a clear day, you can see 40-50 miles. The latest addition to the Skydeck is the Sky Ledge that allows you to step out into a “glass box” to take in a freely view directly below your feet.
