There are so many perfect islands in the Aegean – more than 3,000 of them – that i can be hard to distinguish between them. But Bozcaada really is different – it is one of the only two islands in the region that is Turkish. In Greek mythology it was called Tenedos and because of its strategic position, just south of the Dardanelles Strait, it has been occupied since time immemorial. Over the centuries the population was ethnically Greek, these days, although it is almost entirely Turkish, the island’s culture bears many traces of its Greek inheritance. Photo by: m.f.t.

It is a popular seaside holiday resort on the Aegean coast of Turkey. Didim is home of the antique city of Didyma with its ruined Temple of Apollo. Located about 150 km away from Izmir, Didim was a sacred place starting from the 8th century B.C. The word Didyma meant “twins” and was associated by some as being the meeting place of Zeus and Leto to have their twins Apollo and Artemis.

Maca Kizi is an incredible hot busy hotel and is the best place to stay in the Bodrum area. Maca Kizi is located in the village of Turkbuku, Turkey ,half-hour drive from Boredom. The place is named after proprietor Sahir Erozan’s mother Ayla. Her nickname was Macakizi, the Queen of Spades.
