This is a single, flowing, red resin surface that doesn’t constrain those using it to a single route and the only structure connecting the canal to the city in Glasgow. The 14 hectares of Speirs Locks was a thriving trading center that has now become deserted land due to the decline of the industry and the construction of M8 motorway in the 1960s. The team of architects decided to repair the severed ties between the canal and the city, transforming the space into a new public realm fit for cyclists and pedestrians.

The construction of the Danish Pavilion is a handful of real experiences of how a sustainable city – such as Copenhagen – can in fact increase the quality of life. The pavilion is a regular structure in white painted steel which keeps it cool during the Shanghai summer sun due to its heat-reflecting characteristics. The roof is covered with a light blue surfacing texture, known from Danish cycle paths. Inside, the floor is covered with light epoxy and also features the blue cycle path where the bikes pass through the building.

Rainbow falls

Rainbow Falls is part of the Wailuku River, which at 26 miles, is the longest river in all of Hawaii. Rainbow Falls drops 100 feet over steep walls streaked black and tan due to layers of amphibolite gneiss, granite gneiss, and mica schist.In spring this area is especially beautiful with a covering of blooms of azalea, meadow rue, and Solomon’s plume. Waianuenue Falls is its Hawaiian name which means “rainbow seen in water.” Like all waterfalls, Rainbow Falls’ display is dependent on recent rainfall.
