The annual Gallery Weekend Berlin, which just finished its seventh iteration, welcomed a severe flood of collectors, curators and artists to the city for a three-day marathon of 44 official openings and countless other events. One important artist was absent from the festivities: Ai Weiwei, the detained Chinese artist, whose exhibition will continue into June at Neugerriemschneider Gallery.

York Castle is located in the city of York, England, and is a fortified complex comprising, over the last nine centuries, a sequence of castles, prisons, law courts and other buildings on the south side of the River Foss. It is sometimes called Clifford’s Tower. Before developing into a major fortification with extensive water defences, serving as the centre of royal administration in England, the castle suffered a tumultuous early history.

This is the MAK Center for Art and Architecture Los Angeles covering above five garage studios retained from an existing Schindler design. This type of gallery is very interesting due the fact that occupying artists in the residence produce works at the ground level, and the results of their efforts are displayed in the newly cantilevered pavilion which opens onto the courtyard below.

Famous, fashionable and luxury, the Fairmont Peace Hotel, placed just in front of Shanghai’s Huangpu River originates more than eight decades back.It was and still is playground for the Shanghai’ elite.Here every night was an fancy gala event and Parisian fashion show. In the 1930s some diplomats and celebrities from all over the world made its luxurious suites their home, and so the hotel became a legend.

The Ayoloco Glaciar is situated in the valley ”La Joya”, in Mexico. During the rainy period and after winter storms is possible to find snow and ice near Ayoloco camping zones. The route is usually taken in 2 days the first one up to Ayoloco camping zone (3-6 hrs) and the other one to the summit (3-5 hrs) and down (3-5 hrs). The single push from “La Joya” to the summit will take about 12-14 hrs round trip. The glacier may look easy and with no dangers at all, but it can be very dangerous especially in the rainy season and after big winter storms, avalanches can happen on it.
