Cape Town is an absolutely wonderful city for you and your kids. Thereâ€™re tremendous number of beaches, parks and gardens, which are perfect for children and families.

Every child loves animals, so itâ€™s nice to take them at Boulders Beach to watch the African penguins. The place is located less than an hour outside Cape Town. Itâ€™s a part of Table Mountain National Park and is one of the most protected places along False Bay for kids-and birds-to swim.

Itâ€™s also recommended to visit the Cape Point Nature Reserve, where visitors climb stairs to see the most powerful lighthouse on the African Coast. At the top of Cape Point, tourists can see the spot, where the cold Benguela and the warm Agulhas current meet in the Atlantic.

Dubai is the busiest city of the seven United Arab Emirates and is a city raising the bar literally. Dubai is also famous with the world’s tallest building, the world largest aluminum plant and probably soon, the world’s longest bridge.

The only way to enjoy Dubai on a maximum scale is from the sky. So China Moon Champagne Bar is the perfect place for you. Surrounded by glass apex of the new Raffles Hotel, it is one of the hottest bars in Dubai. What makes this place really fabilous is the view: 360 degrees of sky out to the Arabian Desert.

At the same hotel you’ll also bump into the Fire & Ice Restaurant, which is very warm and invinting place with exposed brick walls, leather chairs and flattering lighting. But it is not just that. There is an open-air kitchen ringed by fire. The menu is wide so it’s easy to order everything you’re onto.

In Dubai there’re many boutiques which are rare and beautiful, even if it’s technically attached to a mall. Sauce, which doubled in size in November, carries an eclectic mix: funky gowns, wispy tops, ironic T-shirts, travel journals, candles, earrings, stilettos, pillows made of denim, and lamps made of neon bowling pins.

The design gallery Traffic is the Middle East’s answer to Moss in New York City. This 7,000-square-foot gallery in central Dubai contains one-of-a-kind designer chairs, tables, benches and fixtures — furniture so avant-garde as to be deemed museum-quality “pieces.”

Space Adventures plans to deliver tourism in Cosmos

The Space Race became an important part of the cultural and technological rivalry between the USSR and the United States during the 1960’s and the early part of the 70’s. But with all these efforts to date, only 3 civilians have been able to finance their multi-million dollar voyage to the International Space Station.

With the recent advent of the Ansari X Prize, the solar system got a lot more interesting with the possibility of affordable suborbital voyages for the rest of us. Space Adventures are working currently on construction of two earth-based Spaceports that will offer suborbital spaceflights, as well as astronaut training facilities. The first facility will be located in Ras Al-Khaimah in the United Arab Emirates, while Singapore’s Changi Airport will grow to accommodate the second Spaceport. The both facilities will offer suborbital voyages as main attraction. Space Adventures has yet to announce how much these voyages will cost tourists, but they are adamant that they will be affordable (for someone:) ). I am currently preparing some information about Space Adventures` tourist service so stay in touch…

The United Arab Emirates is well placed on the world map of international sport by hosting some of the most prestigious sporting events in the world. The infrastructure and facilities are world-class and has marked the UAE as the sporting capital of the Middle East. The 2006-2007 racing season began in November with the Winter Racing Challenge, the 2007 Dubai International Racing Carnival starts on 18th January and the season culminates with the world’s richest race, the Dubai World Cup, sponsored by Emirates Airline on Saturday 31st March 2007. Along with the Dubai World Cup, there are a further five Thoroughbred Group races and a Group One for Purebred Arabians, ensuring the day is one of the most significant in global Thoroughbred horse racing. The Carnival, which last year attracted over 200 horses from 14 countries, runs over 10 meetings at Nad Al Sheba Racecourse. In addition to the racing, the Dubai Racing Club will be organising a number of glamorous social occasions, including the ever popular Fillies & Fashions.
At US$6 million it is the richest horse race in the world, the most glamorous of all days at the races. It takes place at Dubai’s Nad Al Sheba race track and not only attracts the best horses, jockeys, trainers and owners in the world, it also draws in the rich, the beautiful and the famous. Billionaire oil sheiks mingle with millionaire film stars, models and musicians swig vintage champagne and place six figure bets and the prize for the best dressed woman is almost as hotly contested as the World Cup itself. The race is run over 2000 metres and takes place on the last Saturday of March.

Race dates for the carnival are Jan. 19 and 26; Feb. 2, 9, 10, 16, 23 and 24; and March 2, 9 and 25. The daily first post will be around 10:15 a.m. The final race day, March 25, will feature the $6 million Dubai World Cup. The Dubai World Cup could become one of the most memorable races in the history of the event.

Abu Dhabi a dazzling diamond in the crown of the UAE

Everything in Abu Dhabi is modern, sleek and shiny. The United Arab Emirate’s capital is often accused of being a rather soulless place, but that’s going a bit too far: it’s not exactly buzzing, and it may have more sheen than atmosphere, but it does have its attractions.

Although Abu Dhabi is the financial and political hub, it’s entirely outshone by neighbouring Dubai when it comes to nightlife, restaurants, shopping and entertainment. Unable to dazzle visitors with the glitz of its sister city, the capital relies on good-value hotel accommodation, conference facilities and more tranquil breaks to snag its share of the tourist trade. Don’t go expecting a wild time, but if you just want to unwind on the beach before heading out for dinner, you’ll find a certain quiet charm to the place. Sights are extremely thin on the ground, limited to a couple of uninspiring old forts, a smelly dhow harbour, a woefully dismal ‘Petroleum Exhibition’ and the pretty but small Heritage Village (overlooking the Corniche, near the Breakwater), a faithful representation of a small nomadic camp.

Al Hosn Palace (White Fort):

The oldest building in young Abu Dhabi is the Al Hosn Palace, known colloquially as the White Fort. It was constructed in 1793 as the official residence of the former ruling family, and was extensively renovated in 1983. Today it houses the Cultural Foundation, featuring a museum of traditional artefacts and historical photographs. The Palace is renowned for the magnificent tile work over its main gate.

Heritage Village:

Petroleum Exhibition:

The basis of Abu Dhabi’s wealth, the oil industry, is showcased in this permanent exhibition of photographs and interactive displays depicting the discovery of the ‘black gold’ and subsequent development of the region.

Cultural Foundation:

The Cultural Foundation comprises the National Archives, the National Library and the Institute of Culture and Art. All of these are housed in a modern, Islamic style building with many graceful arches, lush courtyards, and intricately decorated passageways.

The foundation hosts interesting exhibits on local history and Islamic art as well as contemporary modern art exhibits, screenings of international film and video, theatre performances and classical musical concerts.

Dhow Wharf and Fish Market:

At the eastern end of the Corniche, near the port, lies Abu Dhabi’s fish market and small dhow (boat) wharf. It’s not as exciting as Dubai’s waterfront, but it does offer good local colour and an excellent view back towards the city.
