Hallstatt is a small picturesque village around 80 km away from Salzburg and is one of the most visited towns in Austria (beside Salzburg and Vienna). Surrounded by steep mountains, situated on the shores of Lake Hallstatt, it is described as one of the most picturesque towns in all of Europe. Since more than 7000 years people are living here. It’s a major archeological landmark and since 1996 is recognized by the UNESCO as world heritage.

Visitors to Hallstatt and vicinity will find ancient salt mines, ice caves, culture museums and more. Hallstatt can be walked end-to-end in about 15 minutes, so choices of restaurants are limited, but for a traditional meal of schnitzel, knudel, and local bier try the Hetthaler. There are many Things to do: visit the Salt mine and Ice caves, see the bone chamber, go for hikes, enjoy a quiet night in a pension beside the lake.

Wachau is one of the most prominent tourist destinations of Lower Austria , located precisely between the towns of Melk and Krems. It is 30 km in length and was already settled in prehistoric times. It preserves in an intact and visible form many traces – in terms of architecture, urban design, and agricultural use, principally for the cultivation of vines. The Wachau was added to the UNESCO list of world heritage sites in recognition of its architectural and agricultural history.

The Wachau is an excellent example of a river landscape surrounded by hills, where the material evidence of the long history of development is still preserved to an astonishing degree.

Human settlement in the Wachau started already during Palaeolithic times, which is documented by a number of cultural founds. From the 1st to the 5th century the Danube formed the northern border of the Roman Empire.

The new extravagant hotel Roomz is a fresh spot for nightlife and meeting point for modern people who want to experience dynamic, sophisticated and affordable city life whether travelling for business or pleasure. In “Roomz” you will find a cool design in spatial dynamics, innovative architecture and ingenious functionality, as well as a multitude of amenities for a reasonable price.

The hotel has 312 beds with ideal location in the heart of the new Wiener Gasometers business and office centre. The “Roomz Vienna” offers extraordinary holiday for business travellers with relaxing atmosphere and a lot of comfort. The hotel offers excellent travel connections, high-speed internet access, air conditioning, flat-screen televisions in the rooms and a large parking garage – amenities required by today’s travellers.

The hotel was built in nine months. Dynamic times naturally lead to dynamic developments. This factor is reflected in the astonishing pace of construction of the “Roomz Vienna”. On 6 June 2007, less than a year after breaking ground, the hotel was opened with highly motivated and keen personnel. The hotel will absolutely pique the senses of “people in motion”, thanks to the archisphere architects group – architects & designers with Gabriel Kacerovsky.

Getting there: It is located near the Gasometer, an architecturally interesting residential and shopping complex housed in gigantic old gas containers, so guests won’t feel so isolated out here in Simmering. But no worries, the subway takes you straight into the heart of the city.

The Kirche St. Leopold is an extraordinary monument, which sits high atop the Baumgartner Hohe at the city outskirts. Locals people jokingly say to this splendid site as ‘Mount Lemon‘, because of the church’s shining gilded dome that beckons from afar. This new masterpiece was built by architect Otto Wagner from 1903–07 on the grounds of Vienna’s Steinhof psychiatric hospital. Planned for the use of patients, many of the church’s salient design features fascinatingly address the special concern for hygiene prevalent at the time.

The church interior was entirely cloth in tiles to allow for easy cleaning; the pews were given rounded edges to minimize injuries; and holy water dispensed by a drip rather than the traditional stoup, for fear of infection.

The ornamentation of the Kirche St Leopold encapsulates the quintessential spirit of the Jugendstil, while Otto Wagner’s open floor plan foreshadows the onset of modernism. You will never miss the beautiful stained glass windows and mosaics by artist Koloman Moser, one of the founders of the Vienna Secession.

Once Das Triest was a former coach station on the route from Vienna to Trieste. Today renovation converted the property into a unique, luxury design hotel. Hotel Das Triest is situated in the heart of Vienna, about 10 minutes from St. Stephen’s Cathedral. It is designed by Sir Terence Conran with an overall unity which is warm and inviting. It is accompanied by a carefully chosen tailored selection of furnishing materials.

The hotel has 72 rooms, which immediately trnsport to guests a sense of Viennese flair through their lovely design. The suites offers 70 square meters of living space and are so popular that they have already become an insider tip within an ever widening circle of design hotel enthusiasts.

Das Triest can provide meeting space to 120 people in two naturally-lit, air-conditioned conference rooms. As well as the 70-seat restaurant Collio serves modern northern Italian cuisine. The Silver Bar offers chill music and lovely warm lighting.
There are fitness center with sauna and solarium and 3 spectacular gardens.

Each room has Satellite TV, VCR, phone and fax connection, NOKIA wireless LAN providing free internet on the guest’s personal laptop.

Cross-vaulted rooms give the building a distinctive flair, but rooms are casually broken up by Conran’s solid colour blocks of reds, yellows and royal blues, be it for the carpeting or the upholstered armchairs. Great care was also taken in selecting and pairing designer pieces by a host of renowned manufacturers and designers including Conran himself, B&B Italia and Casa Milano.

The Eisriesenwelt is a natural limestone ice cave located in Austria, about 40 km south of Salzburg. It is the largest ice cave in the world, extending more than 42 km of tunnels and chambers. Only the first kilometer, the area that tourists are allowed to visit, is covered in ice. The rest of the cave is made of limestone. Entry to the caves is regulated and a 75-minute tour takes in several immense caverns containing elaborate ice formations and frozen waterfalls.

Eisriesenwelt Cave was created by the Salzach River as it flowed through the mountain eroding into the mountain creating passageways. Smooth walls, stalactites, stalagmites, domes, frozen waterfalls, and other ice formations have shaped a crystalline world that deserves a 5-star rating on any list of natural tourist attractions.

The cave is open to tourists from May 1st until October 26th every year. The guided 75-minute tours start at 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (4:30 p.m. in July and August). Temperatures inside the cave are usually averaging 0° C or below and don’t make the mistake of wearing a t-shirt and shorts or a sundress. Instead, wear long trousers and bring a jacket or warm sweater. Photography is not permitted once visitors are inside the cave.

Today, they house three excellent art galleries. The parks surrounding the Belvedere still give the place a quiet and relaxing atmosphere.

The design was done by one of the two most famous architects of Austrian Baroque: Johann Lukas von Hidebrandt(1668 to 1745) – the other being Johann Bernhard Fisher von Erlach.

It is an elongated single storey building consisting of a seven-axial central projection, two wings and two corner pavilions.
This baroque architectural jewel consists of two palaces (Upper and Lower Belvedere).: The upper palace displays a wealthof architectural invention in its facade, avoiding the main design problems common to palaces.

The next floor is centered around a gigantic Marble Hall covered with trompe l’oeil frescoes, while down in the Lower Belvedere palace, there are more 17th-century salons, including the Grotesque Room painted by Jonas Drentwett.

Rogner Bad Blumau is a hotel of discovery. Green roofs, round shapes and colorful facades make up a wonderful work of art in the middle of nature. The hotel is build like a city with various district. The architect is the Austrian artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser whose vision is that life is harmony and in harmony with nature. So the Rogner Bad Blauman is one of these places. The hotel is located in Bad Blumau municipality of the district of Furstenfield in Styria, Austria.

From his early days Friedensreich was a painter, who later also became an ecologist and building designer. He collected many ideas while traveling all around the world. Later he used these experiences when he started to design buildings.

Two curative springs supply Rogner Bad Blumau with power, heat and energy. Floating in the warm water, daydreaming alone or as a couple under canopies, on the glass-covered roof or when reading in a room of silence. The Melchoir spring is the soft and mild one at the hotel. When it comes from earth, the highly mineralized thermal water has a temperature of 47.2 degrees Celsius. The other one – Vulkania spring is made up of a unique composition of depth groundwater. The mineral content in this naturally strong sole spring exceeds the required guide value for curative waters many times.

The Vulkania curative spring is of volcanic origin and the highest mineralized curative water in the Styrian spa region. Collected in the Vulkania curative lake, the water is genuine and powerful with warmest bathing temperature out in the open. Bathing in this water feels like silk.

One of the greatest service is relaxing in the Dead Sea Salt Gretto. Teh walls, the ceiling and floor consists of 100% salt from Dead Sea. During your session in the Dead Sea Salt Gretto you will inhale ionized air rich in micro – elements like iodine, potassium, sodium, magnesium, iron and selenium.

Since it was founded, Rogner Bad Bluman has been awarded numerous prizes again and again. Out of and about at Rogner Bad Blumau guests can also enjoy a lot of sport activities like cycling, fishing, tennis, running, inline skating, beach ball, skater track and street ball.

Leichenberg Life Medicine is a wellness retreat that marries hospitality and medicine, bringing together service industry standards, old-school European spa culture, modern diagnostic and therapeutic technologies. The center is something between traditional five-star luxury hotel and high-tech medical treatment.

Guests can come in the resort for prevention, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation or just a simple relaxation. Situated in Bad Gleichenberg, Austria, life medicine benefits from a mild local climate, idyllic landscape and two mineral-rich water sources, thermal springs.

The resort offers all the traditional wellness services which are thermal baths, sauna and a wide range of face and body treatments. It also offers an impressive array of diagnostic services, including lab testing, allergy profiles, metabolic panels and ultrasounds, to name a few.

The philosophy of the hotel strikes a healthy balance between culinary indulgence and responsible consumption. Meals at the main restaurant, spa bistro and lounge cafe are very low in calories but high in taste, rich in ingredients from local farmers and producers.

The resort’s focus is nature, as reflected in the extensive use of larch wood, glass and natural stone as well as the pervasive browns, reds and greens that blend perfectly with the surrounding landscape.

The 107 rooms, three suites and various conference areas are similarly outfitted, full of light woods and soft hints of natural colours. The resort was built around an existing park, thus incorporating several centuries-old trees and an ancient brook. Local activities include hiking, golfing, stargazing and visits to nearby castles and imperial villas.
