The Yucatan peninsula remains one of the most popular travel destinations in Mexico with visitors from around the world. Most tourists can be found on the white sand beaches and in the crystal clear waters on the Caribbean side, it is popular for cavediver 2 diving as well especially now that Nohoch Nah Chich, the world’s longest underwater cave system has been discovered near Tulum, Mexico. Sistema Sac Actun has been connected to Sistema Nohoch Nah Chich, creating a system 154,783 meters long, the longest underwater cave in the world! That beats the previous record of 146,761 meters for Ox Bel Ha. The two longest caves in Mexico are now almost entirely underwater. For the tourist, the discovery of such underground systems has opened the door to some of the most incredible dive opportunities in the world. miss fashion showMEXICO CITY – This year’s Miss Universe pageant is missing one of its most noted contestants: Miss Sweden, a statuesque blond whose country is one of the few to win the crown three times. Isabel Lestapier Winqvist, 20, has dropped out because Swedes say the Miss Universe competition, airing live Monday night from Mexico City’s National Auditorium, is degrading to women and weighed down by scandals. The pageant culminates on May 28. The 15 finalists from a field of 77 contestants were announced early in Monday’s show. They were picked last week during preliminary judging in the contest’s swimsuit, evening gown and interview categories. Their names were not announced until Monday, allowing all 77 to be introduced to the television audience.

Copper Canyon Mexico makes a fantastic destination for an adventure vacation.
The Copper Canyon (Spanish: Barranca del Cobre) is a canyon system in the Sierra Tarahumara in the southwestern part of the stateof Chihuahua in Mexico. This canyon system is larger and deeper than the Grand Canyon in the neighbouring United States, although the Grand Canyon is larger overall than any of the individual canyons of the Copper Canyon system.

The most striking access to the area is on the spectacular Chihuahua – Pacifico railawey – one the greatest train journeys in the world. The line runs from Los Mochis on the Sea of Cortes to Chihuahua – 655 kilometres -passing though 86 tunnels and over 39 bridges. The entire trip is 397 miles and can take as long as 20 hours on the second class train and about three hours less on the first class train. First class tickets can be booked from U.S. travel agencies however the second class must be booked at the train station and the second class reportedly has a very erratic time schedule.
