“Just Do It”

It is Nike’s first and largest flagship store in Harajuku, Tokyo.  Store’ designer is architect Masamichi Katayama and his team at Wonderwall who used elements from shoes and the brand’s history to create playful treatments. The store is full of amazing styled elements like the sneaker chandelier, “Just Do It”, made of 500 white shoes, waffle iron wall-tiles, a turf track to test the shoes and a sculpture made up of Dunks that look like a giant fossil.

Tokyo’ apartment block

In 2005 architects Shusaku Arakawa + Madeline Gins designed a building of nine apartments known as Reversible Destiny Lofts. These colorful apartments are located in the Mikata area of Tokyo. This creative architecture is structured by many spheres, cylinders and cubes stacked up like bricks and much likes the very popular Nintendo DS game “Brain Age”.

the Café la Miell, Japan

The Café la Miell is situated in Niihama in Ehime, Japan. It  lacked the space needed to accommodate the number of daily customers.  To combat this shortcoming, the owner wished to open a new café across the street that would be able to hold 80 customers.  To create the new Café la Miell, the designers -Suppose Design Office  utilized the one meter drop of the site so that instead of having a standard two story café, as the client requested, the café would become a split level space with one floor at the building’s base level, and one at street level.

The Kanayama Community Center, Japan

The Kanayama Community Center by Kengo Kuma and Associates Architects is a public space and museum which boasts a unique facade. Modeled after the stone wall that protected Kanayama Castle—a regional landmark and historic site—the community center is a truly dynamic structure in Oota City, Japan.

Museum Cafe, Tokyo

This is a café in the heaven.Placed on the 52nd floor of Roppongi Hills – overlooking the vast shag-pile in concrete that is Tokyo. The interior  is created with low zigzagging walls upholstered in pink leather. It brings a dash of glam and colour to the silkiness of the environment.

Baby Cafe, Tokyo

Tokyo Baby Café is a café  Tokyo‘s neighbourhood for parenst and their babies, there everybody coud enjoy,being out with  children without worrying about them. The palce is fully stocked with children’s books and toys, there is a playroom, private rooms and separate zones for nursing and changing diapers.The spaces are easily accessible with a stroller, light switches and door handles are placed on a safe distance from the kids.

Matsumoto Castle

Next to Himeji-jo, Matsumoto-jo is the next best extant castle donjon in Japan. It is also a good example of a so called “hirajiro”, a castle built on the plain rather than on a hill or mountain. Matsumoto-jo is designated a National Treasure. It is Combined towers structure Tenshu which as 29.4m high from ground level. It’s six-stories tall, has three turrets. The two side-turrets connect to the main donjon at several levels. The castle gets a lot of snow, and the sight of the castle covered with snow in winter is truly breathtaking. Matsumoto Station can be reached by train from Shinjuku Station in Tokyo in three hours.

Tokyo Disneyland

Tokyo Disney Resort, which opened in 1983, is a popular and high volume theme park. Tokyo Disneyland is located in Urayasu-city, Chiba. Tokyo Disneyland has a sister theme park, Tokyo DisneySea, and several hotels. Its main gate is directly adjacent to both Maihama Station and Tokyo Disneyland Station. The Tokyo Disneyland parking lot is huge and can take about 8000 cars. In the parking lot, there are four signs: (M) Mickey, (D) Donald, (G) Goofy, (P) Pinocchio. A car is not necessary for visiting Tokyo Disney Resort. The resort has a well-developed transit system of buses and monorails. You need to purchase a Passport, which includes all attractions. Tickets are sold in the main entrance of the park.

Fujiya Inn

Fujiya Inn is located near Tokyo in the Yamagata Perfecture, Japan. Its architect is one of the elite Japanese architects – Kengo Kuma. The Inn is designed around a minimalist theme, which can be seen in the clean lines of the rooms, open floor plans, and the handmade Japanese paper that can be found on almost every wall. Kuma is committed both to Nature and Asian traditions, prefers natural materials and archaic shapes.

Mini House in Japan

Mini House in Kobe, Japan by Architect Hiroaki Ohtani is made up of concrete stripes with certain space between them. So they are  forming openings so that  stairs, furnitures and floors are lighted trough the margins.The only door in the house is the sliding door to the toilet.
