Burj Qatar

Designed by French architect Jean Nouvel, the tower is situated in the West Bay area of New Doha, Qatar. Owned by Shaikh Saoud bin Mohamed Al Thani, the building is close to the iconic pyramidal Sheraton Hotel built in the 1980′s. Opened in 2010, Burj Qatar is simple in form but with a unique architectural design. Marks the landscape it features several panoramic lifts.

The ultimate personal architecture

This a tea house located in Chino, Nagano Prefecture, Japan. Its name is Takasugi-an which translates roughly to “a tea house built too high”.  It was built by Terunobu Fujimori, a tea master, who has an interest in architecture and wished to push the limit of a traditional teahouse. Sits atop two chestnut trees, Fujimori designed and built the structure for his own use. Built in 2004, one of the interesting points is the method Fujimori used to support the tea tree house.

Tianjin Eco-City

The world is getting smaller as populations are booming and technology is improving. The answer may be found in whole cities being designed as this concept. 45 kilometres from Tianjin City and 150 kilometres from the Chinese capital of Beijing, the site of the Tianjin Eco-City is a fascinating, 30 sq km development designed to showcase the hottest new green technologies and to serve as a model for future developing Chinese cities. The Tianjin Eco-city is the result of a collaborative agreement between the governments of China and Singapore to jointly develop a socially harmonious, environmentally friendly and resource-conserving city in China

Golden Prosperity Building

At the time of its completion, the 88-story, 420.5 meters -high Jin Mao Tower was China’s tallest building and the fifth tallest in the world. Until 2007 when its height was surpassed by the Shanghai World Financial Center, situated next to the building. Literally “Golden Prosperity Building”, this landmark skyscraper is located in mainland China, in Pudong district of Shanghai.

The tallest building in China

At 480 meters, Shanghai World Financial Center is the China’s tallest and the third-tallest in the world. It is a mixed use skyscraper which consists of offices, hotels, conference rooms, observation decks, and shopping malls on the ground floors. Located in Pudong, Shanghai, China, the skyscraper was designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox.

This is a non-profit organisation established by Elgiz Family with a mission to support the development of contemporary art and artists in Turkey. Opened in 2005, Elgiz Museum of Contemporary Art is a private collection museum host the Sevda and Can Elgiz Collection consists of works of by influential Turkish and international artists.

State Tretyakov Gallery

This spectacular museum is is one of the largest museums in the world. Located in Moscow, it bears name of its founder – local merchant and textile manufacturer Pavel Tretyakov. The gallery’s history starts in 1856 when Pavel Tretyakov bought several works by Russian artists with the aim of creating a collection and became famous from the minute it was opened to the public in 1870.  The gallery displays Russian fine arts of X -XX centuries. Offering 62 rooms and 130,000 works icons, paintings, graphics and sculpture, State Tretyakov Gallery is considered as a must-see destination for all visitors to Moscow.

Don’t miss this superb private collection of Islamic art

The Tareq Rajab Museum or Museum of Islamic Calligraphy is located at the main city area of Kuwait in one of the most beautiful buildings in the country. The Museum is the private collection of the Rajab family – Kuwait’s first minister of antiquities and his British wife. The collection was started in the early 1950s and after long tours of traveling and collecting articles, in 1980 they finally were able to open a museum for the public. The museum has the collection of above thirty thousand items, of which about ten thousand are permanently on for public display.

The largest museum devoted to Israeli and Jewish fine arts

Located in the center of the city’s cultural complex, the Tel Aviv Museum of Art is one of the biggest museums in Israel. The museum houses a comprehensive collection of classical and contemporary art, a sculpture garden and a youth wing. Opened as early as 1932, before the state of Israel was even founded, the museum moved to its current location in 1971 and a sculpture garden was established in 1999. Tel Aviv Museum of Art holds a wide selection of works and offers an interesting representation of Israeli art and culture.
