Australia is the land of contrasts

australiaAustralia is the land of contrasts. From the tropical splendor of the Great Barrier Reef and North Queensland`s lush rainforests to the otherworldly beauty of the vast outback, there is something for everyone here. The English-speaking rambunctious Aussies are some of the warmest and funniest people on earth. Stop a while and have a tinny (a beer) or billie tea with an Aussie and you have made a friend for life. Australia offers some of the wackiest wildlife anywhere—where else will you find a `drop bear`, kanga or duck-billed platypus?

Crystal clear waters, beautiful beaches, spectacular natural wonders and great hospitality: This is the Land Down Under. Whether you`re a snorkeler, trekker, opera fanatic, thrill seeker, scuba diver or just like to take life at your own pace, you will find the perfect holiday. There`s an amazing and confusing array of choices. Talk to our experts to figure out the best itinerary for you to see the most of this great country at a mellow pace.

Tasmania is a land of things to do and see.

tablecape_tourismtasmania.jpgSeparated from mainland Australia by the 240 km stretch of Bass Strait, Tasmania is a land apart – a place of wild and beautiful landscapes; friendly, welcoming people; a pleasant, temperate climate; wonderful wine and food; a rich history; and a relaxed island lifestyle.
Tasmania is a land of things to do and see.
On the island, you’ll contemplate days from a distant past – and let your senses savor the present. You can climb a remote peak, set foot on ancient shores, and meet amazing animals. Duck your head in a deep, dark cave. Climb up and down a family tree. Widen your horizons on a wilderness beach. Breathe the world’s freshest air in an ancient rainforest. Trek, taste, fish, fossick, shop, snap and stroll – and more, much more.
The mountain’s jagged, truncated contours evoke a primeval feel unlike anything on the Australian mainland. Landscapes include ancient rainforest and alpine heath lands, interspersed with button grass and stands of colorful, deciduous beech. Cradle Mountain itself is reflected in the still waters of the lakes that ring it.

solomon_islands.jpg The Solomon Islands is a double chain of islands located 1860 kilometres to the north east of Australia. Shaped by earthquakes and volcanic activity thousands of years ago, the 922 individual islands, of which 350 are uninhabited, are divided into nine provinces.

The six main islands of Choiseul, Santa Isabel, Guadalcanal, Malatia, Makira and New Georgia make up most of the 28,000 square kilometre land mass. Hundreds of smaller islands and atolls are scattered throughout the group.

The Great Barrier Reef near Australia The Great Barrier Reef is my humble oppinion one of the Nature’s biggest wonders. It is the world’s largest coral reef system, composed of roughly 3,000 individual reefs and 900 islands, that stretch for 2,600 kilometres (1,616 mi). The reef is located in the Coral Sea, off the coast of Queensland in north-east Australia. A large part of the reef is protected by the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. The Great Barrier Reef can be seen from outer space and is sometimes referred to as the largest single living organism in the world (In reality, it is made up of many millions of tiny organisms, known as coral polyps). The living reef structure is believed to have begun growing about 18,000 years ago, but the oldest coral on the reef now is a species of Porites known as boulder coral, which is only about 1,000 years old and it grows about 1 centimetre per year.
