Rugen is the largest of Germany’s islands, nearly 1,000 sq km with 570 km long wiggling coastline of steep cliffs and broad, shallow inlets. Cocos Islands are discovered in 1609, they were settled and owned by a single family from 1872 until the Australian Government acquired them in 1978. A pristine white beach is so typical of the beautiful Cocos Islands. The 27 coral islands are formed into two large, heavily vegetated atolls. They are the only atolls that Darwin ever visited but the coral ecosystem remains intact – and you can still see in their pristine conditions, exactly why they played such an important part in his theory of evolution.

The Los Roques Islands are about 350 islands, cays and islets. The archipelago is a 40- minute flight from Caracas, Venezuela. Only 40 of Los Roques islands are large enough to have names. They attracting many visitors, especially from Europe. Because of the wide variety of seabirds and rich ocean life, Los Roques are declared as a National Park in 1972.
