With a circumference of only 37 miles and coastline served by paved road, Moorea can be encircled in a single day’s bicycle or car tour. Be sure to stop in the villages and boutiques as you make your way around. Enjoy horseback riding along the beach or into the interior, hiking up to a hidden waterfall, or drive to the Belvedere lookout point, high in the interior of Moorea for spectacular views of Opunohu and Cook’s Bays.
Moorea, soaring magically out of the ocean in an explosion of green velvet, is what you would imagine a South Seas island to be. A wide, shallow lagoon surrounds the island`s vertical mountains where poetic threads of waterfalls tumble down fern-softened cliffs. Peaceful meadows flanked by pinnacles of green will fill your senses and renew your belief in the majesty of nature. Pastel-painted houses surrounded by gardens of hibiscus and birds of paradise, circle the island in a fantasy of happy, yet simple villages.
A favorite of frequent visitors, Moorea offers couples the perfect combination of all the islands: pristine and secluded beaches; lush mountains and valleys; exclusive resorts; and a wide variety of shopping and fine restaurants.
The drama of Moorea’s landscape continues below the sea with an infinite range of canyons, chasms, and promontories. Fish feeding is common here so divers are often surrounded by schools of small and large marine life. With a lack of strong currents, Moorea is perfect for beginners while the deeper canyons attract the more advanced divers.

Imagine a real city floating between oceans with its own airport, 20,000 residences and time-shares, thousands commercial outlets, 10,000 hotel rooms, casino, ferryboat transportation system, schools and hospitals, trade centers and parks. You live and travel at the same time, making every 2-3 years one revolution around the globe. And all this at very reasonable prices, with 1,000 sq. ft apartments priced at $1 million with $15-20,000 property fees per year. This can be reality in not so distant future, blurring the difference between the ordinary life, as we know it and the cruise vacation. Technology is no more an obstacle. What may become obstacle is the need of constant rejuvenation in order to keep the interest of the affluent customers.
The Freedom Ship as conceived by its father Norman Nixon must be a place for living, retiring, tourism and entertainment floating around the globe at low speed. To be honest it looks more like floating city than an ordinary ship. And because there would be no big enough ports to welcome this giant, the travelers will use the ship’s airport and ferry port to go back and forth when they decide to feel solid ground beneath their feet. If they decide not to leave their ocean city, there won’t be any reason to do the opposite. Everything that usually they have at hand on the land will be available at sea. That’s the strongest point of the Freedom Ship concept. At the same time it may become one of its weakest points.

The state capital, the city of Rio de Janeiro, contains some of the country’s most well-known postcard views, including Copacabana Beach, Sugarloaf, Corcovado, and the Maracanã soccer stadium. Some federal government agencies still have their headquarters in the state, a legacy of the period when Rio was the nation’s capital. This is true of the State petroleum company, Petrobrás, and sports federations such as the Brazilian Soccer Federation (CBF). The economy is based on industry (metallurgy, steel-making, chemicals, mineral extraction, food products, mechanical goods, publishing and printing, and paper and cellulose), and tourism. The state is located in the eastern part of the

In
Dubai, space for
hotels and beachfront
villas is being created on
four artificial islands being constructed off the crowded coastline. The first and smallest was completed in 2004 and is shaped like a palm tree. A phase under construction will comprise 264 smaller islands forming a vast map of the world. Altogether, four of these huge new projects are to be crafted out of rock and sand. Once building construction begins, concrete will flow in huge amounts.

The Maltese Islands lie virtually at the centre of the Mediterranean, with Malta 93km south of Sicily and 288km north of Africa. The Maltese archipelago consists of three inhabited islands: Malta, Gozo and Comino as well as two uninhabited islands. These Islands are often described as one big open-air museum. Great Britain formally acquired possession of Malta in 1814.

I have just found one very interesting and promising way to explore endless lands of Alaska. What about a trip over the glaciers, mountains, and islands across Kachemak Bay in our fully restored classic Alaskan seaplane.
If this type of journey fits your interests, Kachemak Bay Flying Service is what you need. On our one-hour scenic flight you will fly over glaciers and ice fields, past ridges that are the summer home of Alaskan mountain goats and black bears. You will fly down green valleys, past waterfalls, through fjords where remote cabins dot the shoreline. There are quite often wild eagles, sea otters, and seals which you can see from the plane.
