This is a transitional shop in Milan, Italy designed by Caterina Tiazzoldi for the coffee brand Illy. The concept is conceived for a reconfigurable store, characterized by various modulations of a single element, a “cube” which is 45x45cm-squared base. This is an unusual designed restaurant located in Bergen, The Netherlands. The Restaurant Fabricca is very cozy and, even though the interior is original and not the traditional typical decor, it’s still elegant and stylish but in a different way. Industrial area, the elements of glamor, minimalist and high-tech, mix, comic shaped styling, causing a lot of unintentional associations. The big dining pods of the restaurant are very cozy and especially inviting, offering a unique dining experience to anyone who enters. The second you enter the restaurant you get a strange feeling that takes you back in time.

There’s a huge amount of wood involved in this project. Notice the walls that are covered with tree stumps. The furniture is also made of wood and this contributes to the cozy ambience inside. The restaurant boasts tall ceilings and lots of windows but only on the facade. The interior is rather intimate, despite the dimensions. It’s decorated with magnificent chandeliers and glass stemware designed by Tjep Studio, an Amsterdam-based architecture and design firm.

There’s and a large pizza oven decorated with Bisazza tile mosaic and geometrical industrial containers sit near the oven holding the wood. It might not be a very sophisticated restaurant but its unpolished beauty that makes it individual. It’s simple and genuine. It’s also a very inviting and comfortable place where guests can feel independent while enjoying their favorite food. The objective of the Bridgestone Pavilion is to communicate the company’s responsibility to the country in manufacturing, research and investment. With an emphasis on showcasing emerging technologies, Architectkidd had the latitude to contrivance design approaches and features that are relatively distinguished among current standard construction practices in Thailand.

The building design was generated based on 3-dimensional spatial requirements. The original points were the interior functions, building heights further site boundaries, as well as the continuous flow of visitors from entrance, exhibitions, to exit.  The requirements were digitized volumetrically and merged to author the overall building, with the exterior an idea of optimizing the interior spaces while minimizing extraneous elements such as additional edges, corners, and leftover spaces.

Originally opened in 1852, King’s Cross Central is one of the most significant development and regeneration opportunities in Central London. Its proximity to the St. Pancras mainline station makes it one of Britain’s biggest transport hubs. More than 50 million commuters use its 11 platforms each year. This solid built station was unfortunately known to be stand offish and dark, so one of the purposes of the renovation is to make it feel more attractive and liveliness. The three-part project involved the renovation of the train sheds and surrounding support buildings, as well as a detailed restoration of historic buildings and the classic Victorian facade.

Shouldn’t it be realistic to conceal a concern in an Alpine side while still exploiting the astonishing views and allowing sunbeams to get the building?  Dutch architect Bjarne Mastenbroek of Amsterdam-based SeARCH designed the holiday home just to the world celebrated baths of Vals in Switzerland. The team of local builders excavated 36 feet into the face of the hummock and poured a reinforced-concrete retaining wall. They then built a simple shoe box, 52 feet wide, 26 feet deep, also two-and-a-half stories high, and closed the volume with secret a concave facade.
