El Nido Miniloc Island Resort

El Nido Resorts began 20 years ago as a 15-cottage dive camp built in an isolated island in El Nido, Palawan, Philippines. Miniloc Island, with a total land area of 224 hectares, is one of the largest islands in the El Nido Protected Area. The resort is encircled by limestone cliffs and crystal clear waters.  It’s a great place to relax. The island is a part of the still unspoiled chain of 45 limestone island jewels that make up El Nido, Palawan.

Muskauer Park is an exceptional example of a European landscape park. The Park is located in the city Bad Muskau on the border between Germany and Poland. It covers 3.5 square kilometres of land in Poland and 2.1 in Germany. It lies along the river Nisa. Park Muzakowski was damaged considerably during WWII, so much of it has had to be restored.

Kuranda- Barron Falls, Australia

The Barron Falls are located in the Barron Gorge National Park in Queensland, Australia. The Falls are some 900 feet wide and 825 feet high. Before getting to Kuranda the train stops so you can get off and view the Barron Falls. The once mighty flow is today diverted for hydroelectricity, so now the full Falls are only seen in flow during the extreme wet season.

Tayrona National Park

Parque Tayrona is truly a magnificent natural park located at the Caribbean coast of Colombia. The Park covers an area 300 square kilometres in size. Off the coast are a number of coral reefs, and nearby is the archaeological site. This little delightful spot is located about 30 minutes from the city of Rodadero, with beautiful beaches and hammocks to rent. Park Tayrona is about 45 minutes East of Santa Marta.

Monastic Island of Reichenau

Monastic Island of Reichenau lies in Lake Constance in southern Germany. It lies between the Gnadensee and the Untersee, almost due west of the city of Konstanz. The highest elevation on the island, the Hochwart, reaches 438.7 meters, or 43 meters above the lake surface. Today, these preserved areas are protecting species of plants and animals, which are typical for the region around Lake Constance.

Cocuy, Sierra Nevada

The Sierra Nevada del Cocuy is a National Park and a set of highlands within the Cordillera Oriental mountain range in the Andes Mountains of Colombia.  The Sierra Nevada Del Cocuy, about 8 hours from Bogota, has over 20 snow capped peaks and some forty lagoons. Temperatures oscillate in the lower part at around 23º C and go down to 3º C in the snow covered peaks.

Cano Cristales- “The river of five colors”

Cano Cristales lies in the Serrania de La Macarena, Colombia. Often called “the most beautiful river in the world” as well as “the river of five colors,” Cano Cristales is one of those destinations you almost have to see to believe. Cano Cristales is about 100km in length. During Colombia’s rainy season, the water flows fast and deep as rivers are wont to do.
