The land of A Thousand and One Nights

Built on eight acre within the walls of the old city of Marrakech, this magnificent hotel was built at the behest of Morocco’s King Mohammed VI with an undisclosed, but evidently immense, budget. The brand new Royal Mansour retreat offers a perfect balance of rich colors, local architecture and refined opulence. This is a new icon of Moroccan elegance and considered by locale as one if the world’s premier luxury travel destinations.

Tucked within the city walls, the hotel consists of 53 riads featuring hand-laid mosaics, antique furniture and stunning views of Marrakech and the Atlas mountains. Moroccan-style dwellings lavishly furnished with silks and brocades, ornate tiles, handcrafted wood and antique furniture and interior gardens, the suites range in size from 1,400-sq.ft. to a palatial 21,500 sq. ft. and feature roof terraces with sun beds and private pools provide stunning views of Marrakech.

In addition to the riads, the Royal Mansour feature three restaurants which are under the consultancy of Yannick Alléno, Michelin three-star chef from Paris, offering everything from French fine dining cuisine to reinterpreted traditional Moroccan cuisine. There is a 2,500-square-meter spa located in its own glazed pavilion surrounded by a moat with a fitness center, treatment rooms, and an indoor pool. Other hotel facilities include an art gallery, dining, bar, lounges and library.
