The hotel’s oldest building, the Augustinian St. Thomas’s Monastery, dates to the thirteenth century. Rocco Forte the Augustine has elegantly designed 101-bedrooms and 16 suites. The interior was accomplished by the London-based design company RDD, together with Olga Polizzi, retains some elements of the building’s past. Rooms are done in rich fabrics in warm earth tones and dressed up with elements of decorative accessories inspired by 1930′s Czech cubism, such as reproductions of Pavel Janak’s angular Cubist timber chairs and elegant chaise lounges from designer Adolf Loos. Some rooms boast original iron doors and windows provide stunning views of Prague or the grounds, dotted as it is with spires and terracotta roofs.
