The romantic hotel U Zlatych nuzek (At the Golden Scissors) is located only a few metres from the famed Charles Bridge in an exceptionally quiet location in the heart of Mala Strana, on Kampa island, ranked the second most beautiful urban island in the world, according to Virtual Tourist. Originally a Renaissance house from 16th century, rebuilt in 1804 by famous architect Ignac Palliardi in the Classicist style it bears to this day, the building is protected by the National Heritage Council and is one of the oldest on Kampa island.
