Chateau de Gilly welcomes you to France

The majestic Chateau de Gilly is former residence of the Cistercian Monks located in the heart of Burgundy Grand Cru wine country between Dijon and Beaune and only 2-minutes from the village of Vougeot. It has now been transformed into a secluded retreat with a gourmet restaurant, magnificent architectural features and beautifully manicured French-style gardens with a moat and a river.

The Chateau de Gilly has 48 rooms of 6 different categories, from the most elegant apartment to the most delightful room. All the rooms are elegantly decorated and enjoy modern comforts. Elegantly decorated, stylishly furnished and equipped with modern facilities, the suites offer pleasant views over the gardens, the village or the Vouge River. Superb wood paneling, a stone fireplace and exquisite wall coverings are just some of the suites’ inviting features.

Be sure to dine in Le Clos Prieur restaurant, in the original 14th-century wine cellar with its impressive vaulted ceilings supported by slender stone pillars, which offers an exceptional setting to enjoy traditional and regional gourmet cuisine. Take a tour of the wine cellar, which is home to an impressive collection of over 25,000 bottles of Burgundy appellations and Grand Crus. In the winter months, relax with a book in front of the drawing rooms roaring fire, play billiards, unwind with a body treatment or indulge in a “Cocoon of Silk” spa treatment, a red grape body wrap, followed by a relaxing massage. Summer activities include swimming, archery, golf, hot-air ballooning and helicopter trips over Burgundy.
