New Delhi has given India some of the finest names in the field of art like Anita Dube, Abhishek Hazra and Jayanta Roy. The art and craft culture in the city encompasses paintings, handmade accessories, wooden handicrafts, items made from cane, bamboo, conch-shell, ivory and bell metal etc. The Delhi Art Gallery has become distinguished for its focus on 20th century Indian art. Designed by Croatian architect Silvije Novak of 3LHD, the Lone Hotel is situated only a ten-minute walk to the Adriatic resort town of Rovinj, Croatia. Built in 2011, the hotel is like a cruise ship inspired by 1970s local architecture. Lone’s “Y”-shaped structure gives the rooms spectacular views of the sparkling sea. Now in it’s 5th year, DesCours will be holding its annual event in New Orleans from December 2nd-December 11th, 2011. DesCours is a free, public, ten-day contemporary architecture and art event looks towards the future in displaying experimental, cutting-edge new media and interactive art installations, accompanied by nightly changing entertainment provided by local musicians. It is a celebration of contemporary architecture and visual arts. The event showcases the city’s unique architectural and cultural identity while exploring the latest in design and technology.

The Brooklyn Museum is a famous landmark in the New York area that brings more than 450,000 visitors annually to see its acclaimed artistic exhibitions and permanent collections. Until January 2012, the museum hosting “reOrder” created by Situ Studio. This is an architectural installation as the initial step in the transformation of the museum’s first floor.

Copenhagen-based Holm Architecture Office in collaboration with Archiland Beijing, Kragh & Berglund landscape architects, and engineering consultants Cowi Beijing, has won first prize in a competition to design the Samaranch Memorial Museum. It will be situating in Tianjin, a city of over 12 million people near Beijing, in Northwestern China. Juan Antonio Samaranch was the president of the International Olympic Committee from 1980 to 2001. Throughout his presidency he advocated for reform and inclusion and was a strong supporter of China’s bid as host city for the 2008 Olympic Games.

Translates to “Chinese Flower Garden”, Yuwan Restaurant is a unique 5-star contemporary restaurant situated in Shenyang, China. Consists of separated area, it serves western and eastern fusion delicacies. Designed by architectural studio Nota design studio, the restaurant areas include the Main Dinning Hall, the Side Dinning Hall, three VIP rooms, Seafood Counter, Entrance Hall and Kitchen Zone.

The Nomadic Museum is a temporary structure used to house the “Ashes and Snow” photography and film exhibition by Gregory Colbert which travels the world photographing encounters between humans and large animals. Designed by Japanese architect Shigeru Ban and engineers Buro Happold, the museum is made entirely from reusable materials. Actually this 45,000-square-foot mobile museum was designed to be disassembled and reconfigured to house the traveling exhibit.

It is a pedestrian and cyclist bridge across the Yarra River in Melbourne, Australia. Designed by Denton, Corker & Marshall in collaboration with artist Robert Owen, as part of a Melbourne public art project, the bridge was constructed out of material recycled from a previous rail bridge of the same name.

Among the many attractions Belgium boasts of is a museum dedicated to the life and works of the famous illustrator Herge. His real name is Georges Remi (1907 – 1983), is a Belgian comics writer and more precisely the author of the world-famous adventures of boy-reporter character Tintin and Snowy. The Herge Museum is located in the small university town of Louvain-la-Neuve which is around 30 kilometers from the Belgian capital city of Brussels.

Located on Museum Island, Berlin, the museum was opened in 1859. Designed by Friedrich August Stuler, it was one of the most ambitious building projects of its time due to its use of new industrial construction technologies such as the steam engine. Built in the neo-Classical style, the Neues museum suffered severe damage and partially destroyed in the Second World War in a series of massive bomb blasts during the bombing of Berlin. And it was closed in 1939.
