La Quercia
La Quercia is a holiday house in Italy situated on the edge of a beautiful small village in the hills above Lake Maggiore.
The structure and style of this former 17th century convent have been maintained in its recent renovation while great care was taken in restoring the frescoes and installing modern facilities. The result is a tasteful mixture of modern facilities and antique furnishing and decor.
A particular feature of La Quercia is the wonderful views over the placid waters of Lake Maggiore, which can be enjoyed from both the house and the spacious terrace furnished with an outside dining area, perfect for al fresco dining. A hexagonal spring water outdoor tub has been installed in the terraced garden and is ideal for cooling off during hot summer days. A small apartment on the top floor of the villa with a separate entrance is occupied by a forest ranger who has limited responsibilities for villa maintenance.
