Altonaer Museum, Hamburg

The black box with big white letters stands inconspicuously on the Altonaer balcony (in Altonaer Museum) in the beautiful harbour scenery in Hamburg. If the sun is shining – don’t be scared, just go in and close the door behind you. When you get indise it’s advisible to wait a few seconds till your eyes acclimatise to the dark. You’ll see the harbour upside down moving projected picture on a white wall. The Camera Obscura is invented in times of Renaissance also know as pinhole camera. It is a camera without a lens and a single very small aperture. The smaller the hole, the sharper the projection, an upside down and right-left reversed picture.

La Ciutadella Park, Barcelona

La Ciutadella Park is a place for readers and writers, to take the kids to play football and run around, for families to have a picnic, a place for the elderly, for lovers and friends, a place for party. La Ciutadella Park is where everything is possible if the weather’s on your side and this is easy to find in Barcelona where almost never rains. After its establishment during the mid 19 century, it was for decades the only green area in the city. It is located at the northeastern edge of the old town, and hosts within its 70 acres the city’s substantial zoo (which was home to the famous albino gorilla Snowflake), the Parliament of Catalonia, a lake, some museums, and a fountain of considerable size designed by Gaudi.

Museu del Calccat

If you are a shoe fetish, you should visit the Museu del Calcat (shoe museum) on Placa San Felip Neri in the heart of the Gothic Quarter nearby the Cathedral, Barcelona. The museum shows the historical development of shoe manufacturing, and also displays shoes of famous people like Columbus. The shoe museum is placed in a beautiful renaissance building which used to be the Shoemaker’s guild in the Middle ages.
