L’antic Theatre, Barcelona
This ancient multipurpose building was renoveted and function as a space for creation and a magnificent terrace bar. Located in one of the streets surrounding the illustrious Palau de la Musica, Barcelona, it hosts an interesting program of independent theatre plays and music shows. There are also a number of temporary exhibitions often adorn its walls. One that caught my eye was a great photography exhibit capturing the wheelers and dealers of New York’s punk scene during the 1970s.

To be realists there aren’t many patios like this one in Barcelona. A big tree presides in the centre of the garden, under which sit a cheerful mixed crowd. The cocktails are nothing special, but they seem to be when the night comes and the lights go on. Beautiful. The theatre is an ideal venue for creation and production of shows as well. It is an industrial warehouse of 490 square meters available to companies and professional artists of any age who wish to develop their research processes or creation. It has direct access to a lift for people and a forklift to sets or stereos, truck entrance.
