Point Ephemere

The Point Ephemere (Instant Point) is a cafe, nightclub, exhibition centre and concert venue, run by Usines Ephemere which is a not-for-profit organisation that converts wastelands into cultural centres for young artists. Artists’ and musicians’ studios and workshops are also housed there making it one of the most innovative cultural projects in Paris today. Fine food and inexpensive drinks are available until late and the canal-side terrace is a great hang-out and a perfectly protected sun-trap.

The place is also committed to exploring contemporary dance and devotes the second consecutive year a festival. The programming reflects the artistic choices of Marina Tullio, in charge of the dance at , and also presents the research of residents who worked this year in the dance studio, selected by Cecilia St. Paul, guest artist. The program offers the viewer the opportunity to move from one artistic field to another, and to interfere in artistic proposals through calls for proposals, performance, space Instant Point to another. The Instant Point is located in the 10th arrondissement of Paris and is occupied by the fire station of Chateau-Landon. The exhibition space adjacent to the restaurant also offers the day lights and neon of the night, disturbing notions of interior and exterior. If the vicinity of the restaurant brings a renewed public, this cohabitation involves interesting questions about the exhibition.
