Palazzo del Giardino

Palazzo del Giardino in Sabbioneta, North Italy is a rather small building outside the whitewashed facade in contrast with the precious oak carved cornice in 1583.

The building was transformed from 1578 and was finished with his decorations in 1588 or so. Place of joy where the Duke withdrew to read, study and find relief from the obligation of government.

Despite the sober housing, inside we discover a route based on the extensive decorative literary culture of Vespasian. Probably the same Duke gave clear indications in the drafting of the iconographic program.
