Richard Chai Store
Located in New York City, the Richard Chai Shop is a temporary retail installation created by Snarkitecture. It is part of the Building Fashion installation series at HL23. With a budget of only $5,000, this temporary store is one of the most innovative Chai’ projects. It looks like a glacial cavern.
White architectural foam is cut by hand to produce erosions of the sculpted walls and ceiling to create a varied landscape for the display of fashion designer’s men’s and women’s collections. There is a range of shelves, niches and hang bars for display the clothes.
