“I was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on November 28, 1939. I have been painting with light for many years. I started with flashlights and now use a digital camera and a Mac computer. As an Abstract Luminist I continue to experiment with frozen and moving digital images. I have attended the following schools: Metairie Park Country Day School, Jesuit High School, Tulane University, Newcomb Art School while George Rickey was the art school director. I received my B.F.A. degree from the University of Southern California. At USC film school I studied animation with George Lucas who created “Star Wars”. I also attended the California Institute of the Arts and Parsons School of Design in New York City. In the late 60′s, I worked at the movie studio Filmation on the Superman cartoon series for CBS. My work has been exhibited at the New Orleans Museum of Art and the Contemporary Arts Center in New Orleans. In 1970 I produced a light show for the New Orleans Symphony, “Scriabin’s Poem of Fire”.
