Gadi Sagar Tank

Gadi Sagar Lake is one of the major tourist attractions in Jaisalmer, known as the romantic desert city of Rajasthan, India. Built in 1367, this man-made reservoir was constructed by Raja Rawal Jaisal and was once only water supply in Jaisalmer. Surrounded by numerous small temples and shrines, Gadi Sagar will transport you into a different world. The entrance to the Gadi Sagar Lake is through a magnificent and artistically carved yellow sandstone archway.

One of the oldest mosques in Singapore

 

Situated in the district of Kampong Glam, the Sultan Mosque considered one of the most important mosques in Singapore. Built in 1928, the mosque was designed by Denis Santry. A British architect designed the Mosque in arabesque style with domes, minarets and balustrades. The Sultan Mosque was officially declared a national monument on 14 March 1975.

Abdul Gafoor Mosque

The Abdul Gafoor Mosque is known by the variant names. Located in Singapore, the original building was built in the year 1846 and it was the religious center of the Muslim mechants and horse-trainers. In 1979 the mosque was officially announced as a national monument. Directed towards Mecca, the most sacred place for the Muslims, Abdul Gafoor Mosque has recently been restored.

Kinkakuji

Or the Golden Pavilion. Located in the Kitayama district of Kyoto, it is a Zen temple formally known as Rokuonji. Built in 1397 it was used as a residence for third Muromachi shogun Ashikaga Yoshimitsu. After his death (in 1408), Kinkakuji was converted into a Golden Pavilion.
