Gadi Sagar Tank
Gadi Sagar Lake is one of the major tourist attractions in Jaisalmer, known as the romantic desert city of Rajasthan, India. Built in 1367, this man-made reservoir was constructed by Raja Rawal Jaisal and was once only water supply in Jaisalmer. Surrounded by numerous small temples and shrines, Gadi Sagar will transport you into a different world. The entrance to the Gadi Sagar Lake is through a magnificent and artistically carved yellow sandstone archway.
If you love a bird watching you should visit Rajasthan in the winter months and you will see the wide variety of water birds that flock here. You can enjoy a boat ride on the lake to see rare migratory birds that stop for a drink at the Lake.
