The resort boasts with the most lift-served extreme terrain in North America — 542 acres marked by vertical drops and rocky outcroppings. It was the first in the United States to host an extreme skiing contest and is celebrating 20 years of competition this season with the national Extreme Freeskiing Championship in February, where elite skiers will charge down steeps with pitches from 35 to 45 degrees.

From the moment you walk the street of this historic town and meet the people who live there or view the mountain’s peak for you will understand, this is a special place that stirs your inner sprit. The mountain has a natural character from the abundant wide open green and blue groomed trails to more advanced long cruisers. This season will feature additional terrain expansion in Teocalli Bowl to an area know as Teo II. This expert bowl is accessed by the high lift at the top of the mountain and adds to the expansive region known as the Extreme Limits.

The mountain is also popular as a perfect spot to improve your skiing or boarding, due to the fact of diverse terrain and easy progression from beginner, intermediate and advanced sections of the mountain. The slopes are combined with uncrowded spots, fantastic grooming and snow conditions giving freedom and confidence. However the adventures there do not just stop at the on-mountain ski experience. The resort offers the most diverse and distinctive bars, restaurants and nightlife found in any ski town. From sushi to sandwiches and everything in between, the choice of great places to dine and variety of food types is amazing.
