Tokyo Disneyland
Tokyo Disney Resort, which opened in 1983, is a popular and high volume theme park. Tokyo Disneyland is located in Urayasu-city, Chiba. Tokyo Disneyland has a sister theme park, Tokyo DisneySea, and several hotels. Its main gate is directly adjacent to both Maihama Station and Tokyo Disneyland Station. The Tokyo Disneyland parking lot is huge and can take about 8000 cars. In the parking lot, there are four signs: (M) Mickey, (D) Donald, (G) Goofy, (P) Pinocchio. A car is not necessary for visiting Tokyo Disney Resort. The resort has a well-developed transit system of buses and monorails. You need to purchase a Passport, which includes all attractions. Tickets are sold in the main entrance of the park.
The park is bigger at 114 acres but actually has fewer attractions. Around 85,000 people are admitted at once which sometimes still isn’t enough. The decor is simply spectacular. Disneyland is more appealing to the younger children since a lot of the rides is very suitable for children. The park is divided into 7 areas: World Bazaar, Adventureland, Westernland, Critter Country, Fantasyland, Toontown, Tomorrowland Tomorrowland.
Tokyo Disneysea: The names give you a clue about what to expect at each one: Mediterranean Harbour, Mysterious Island, Mermaid Lagoon, Arabian Coast, Lost River Delta, Port Discovery, and American Waterfront.
