Givskud Zoo
Givskud Zoo first opened its doors to the public in 1969. Founded by Jacob Hansen. Givskud Zoo is a zoo and safari park in Givskud , 20 km north west of Vejle in Denmark. Givskud Zoo is just a 25 minute drive from Billund. Givskud Zoo provides many opportunities for visitors to come close to fascinating mammals like the Asian elephant, the white rhino and Rothchild’s giraffe. The lion pride in the park is the largest pride in Europe.
Givskud Zoo has three main objectives: the dissemination of information, the conservation of endangered species and research.
The visitor may take a safari on the African savanna or visit a family of gorillas in an African jungle. After your safari you can enjoy a picnic or a barbecue, and there are playgrounds for the kids.
