The Exedra Milano is the newest member of the Boscolo hotel group. In transforming what was an 11-story bank into a canny hybrid of “Alice in Wonderland” fantasy and space-age chic. The hotel made its debut in October. There are Technicolor, multidirectional plush velvet divans and slinky armchairs, some of which are backlit, and a seafood restaurant with surfaces as black as the sea is blue. The construction of the Danish Pavilion is a handful of real experiences of how a sustainable city – such as Copenhagen – can in fact increase the quality of life. The pavilion is a regular structure in white painted steel which keeps it cool during the Shanghai summer sun due to its heat-reflecting characteristics.
