The German city of Hamburg is most famous for its pretty canals and waterways, its red-light district, and its vast harbor that houses some truly enormous ships.Yet it is possible to escape all those industrial features and jump into the number of parks. The park’s extensive square of greenery reaches from the Dammtor railway station almost to city’s St. Pauli neighborhood. Visitors stroll along its pathways admiring the picturesque displays of plants and flowers or popping into various cafes for a class of wine or a chilled beer. In the peak of the summer, there are jazz concert at the music pavilion and lights shows are held over the lake nightly at 9 p.m accompanied by classical music. In the winter, the becomes home to Germany‘s best and biggest open-air skating rink.
