Hotel Dhonakulhi
Hotel Dhonakulhi has an impeccable setting with thousands of remote coves and lagoons. The hotel-island comprises the best spot in the whole of the Maldives, previously uninhabited virgin atoll of Ha Alifu. The resort is circled by lush greenery and the luxurious villas have the Indian Ocean under their terraces. Some of the villas have private beaches and some are with their own pools, all of them with open air bathrooms that give general feeling of back-to-nature.

Although all those feelings of the remote paradise, visitors can also enjoy a first-class restaurants, a rejuvenating spa and a variety of media equipment, just in case you need to contact home. During your time there, you can spend a day or two with the dive school in the aquarium-clear waters. This is before you stretch under a coconut tree or relax with a message in your private open air space.

The hotel stands out from the other resorts in Maldives. Some 95 percent of the island remains undeveloped so visitors are completely surrounded by sheer natural beauty. Dhonakulhi is a physically large shaped island with a beach length equivalent to 28 football pitches. The island is unique in its reef formation, the reef system it sits on having a natural channel splitting it in two distinct parts, and thereby forming a natural harbour for the marina.
