A CAR PARK FOR SIX CARS USED TO BE LOCATED ON THE SITE OF THE HOUSE. AS A MEMENTO OF THIS CAR PARK, THE MARKINGS OF THE FORMER PARKING SPACES HAVE BEEN LEFT VISIBLE ON THE REMAINING PARKING SPACE.

The shop has a very informal atmosphere and the outcome is nearly a square – a space fully opened onto the street, practically an extension of the sidewalk, without doors or window displays, with lush greenary and intense natural lighting, only covered by a metal grid alternating glass/wooden closures and opening for ventilation and irrigation.

Skellig Islands are two extraordinary rocky islands, sited just 13 km west of the coast of Kerry. Skellig Micheal, the larger of the two rocky outcrops, rises sharply to some 212 m, and near the summit, situated on a ledge, are the remains of an early Christian monastery. Its foundation remains shrouded in mystery, but it is known that a small community of about a dozen monks were based there between the 6th and 12th centuries. Photo by: Janek Kloss

The house is situated on an old Japanese cherry-farm in the Datun –mountains of North Taiwan. It is designed as a vessel to react on the demanding wind, flooding and heat conditions on the site. The smaller bathroom and kitchen unit functions as a kicker stabilizing the wooden structure during the frequent typhoons and earthquakes.

A new self-build house with guest annexe and garage for a rural site in Suffolk, East England – a smallholding formerly characterised by bungalow, outbuildings and caravan arranged casually under a big sky. Three conventional building forms with unconventional detailing. A linear building of apparent simplicity is sliced into three programmes : house, garage and annex. The garage is pulled of axis to create a courtyard between the three. The composition is further defined by material and color: red rubber membrane and glass; red and black stained larch.
