cape breton island

Nova Scotia‘s Cape Breton has an untamed beauty that makes for some of the most impressive scenery in North America. The island is a wonderful mixture of rocky shores, rolling pasture, barren headlands, woodland, mountains and plateaux. Comprehension of the people of Cape Breton Island is not possible without knowledge of its earliest shelters. Cape Bretons today reflect the resolve of those pioneers. A 45-minute ferry journey from the coastal town of Sri Racha brings you to the island’s one small town dominated by a brightly painted Chinese temple, reached by a long flight of steep steps.
