The Rhine Falls
One popular tourist attraction! The Rhine flows in winding course southwest from Schaffhausen, and about two miles away is the famous Rheinfall, regarded as the most attractive in the volume of the waters in Central Europe.
The Rhine Falls are 150 m (450 ft) wide and 23 m (75 ft) high!
From Zurich airport the falls are 45 min away by train. Or you can take the ?1 or ?6 bus from Schaffhausen to Neuhausen.
Ships guided by ropes can take the bravest next to the waterfall. Picturesque wooded walks along the river bank.
This is a great day trip to do on your own or with the family.
