<description>Very nice pics but it is not Arabian. Mardin City is builded by Assyrians and this city is their lost capital.

They lost having the biggest population in Mardin. Arabians took the position, and today Kurds have the biggest population in Mardin.

Mardin city is builded by stones. Arabs and Kurds build their cities by adobe.

Turks have been to Mardin for a little time, to pass into Antolia, it was a long journey that is started from Central Asia. Mardin was like a bridge for Turks, but Turks has ruled this area for years -we still rule, but nearly there are no Turk around Mardin. So, Assyrian buildings or Assyrian style buildings has builded in Turkish era and the other things like mosques, khans is builded by Turkish architects.

So it is really false to call this city Arabian. It is Assyrian and maybe Kurdish, with a little chance Turkish but absolutely not Arabian.
